5 Great Reasons to sing and sign Jingle Bells with
American Sign Language, ASL, with kids.
One: The visual and movement nature of ASL changes this to an activity song. Children love songs that they not only get to sing, but that they also get to move to. Finger plays, dances, and upper and full body movement songs have been, for generations, some of the most beloved children’s songs. ASL offers movement and signs that often look like the word they are describing. For example, the sign for bell looks like a ringer striking the side of a bell.
